Regulation Update: Construction Design Management Regulations
There are proposed changes to the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) 2007. These changes are potentially:
- Removing the domestic client exemption and include duties for domestic clients which fall under the designer or contractor
- Simplifying the regulations so that they are easier to understand
- Removing the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP)
- Removing the CDM Co-ordinator role
- Removing explicit competency requirements
